Here are our happy new year tidings to all of you out there in blogger land! We had a fun Christmas and New year. We held our traditional rockin' Christmas Eve sing-a-long and this year Truman joined in on the percussion instruments (kind of). The Day after Christmas I was enjoying a delightful day of sleeping in when Jack came into our room and announced that he did not want to spend his vacation sitting around our house. Sooo.... we packed up the car and headed out to Iowa to visit my brother and his family. It was the craziest drive ever, we literally drove all night. We encountered rain, FOG, and an ice storm! But we finally made it to our destination and all of our travails were worth while because we had a terrific time with my brother , his wife and their kids! While we were there we got to enjoy the extremely brisk Iowa temperatures and Truman got to play in some snow for the first time this winter. We also toured the place of John Wayne's birth and saw one of the bridges of Madison county. So good times, great oldies!

Is that really John Wayne's birth home?!? It is SO small! Why weren't we invited to the Christmas sing along? I guess there is always next year. I'm looking forward to seeing your Memphis pictures!
Hooray, you finally got your drummer!
