Monday Mornings: The Ugly Truth

Weekends can be rough. There are these two people who live at my house with me. During the week they are gone for a goodly portion of the time and keeping up with their mess is manageable. But Friday night brings trouble. I can keep up with it for most of the weekend but by Sunday night I am worn out. I don't have the energy to nag anyone else to clean up or to clean it up myself. So I just leave everything until Monday morning. So if you happen to stop by my house on a Monday Morning THIS... is what you will see.

Dirty Dishes!!!

Various G.I. Joe Battle Sites!!

A Marshmallow/toothpick creation, a homemade fishing pole made from a mini baseball bat and some gift wrapping ribbon, and a storm of papers I created while frantically looking for all of the forms that needed to be signed and returned to school today!

Well, you may not see these exact messes but you will see something equal if not greater than these piles of beauty!

Nice to know I'm not the only one who gives up over the weekend. It just isn't worth it sometimes.

but did you notice how clean your counter top was? I'd sometimes kill for a clean counter top. I can block out the sink, maybe thrown a pretty tea towel over the dishes and presto!

My house is the exact same way. It is never spotless, but during the week, us girls manage to keep it picked up. Then on the weekends, we just hang out and come Monday morning, I have a huge mess to clean up. No wonder people hate Monday's. LOL!
