Did you know?

That I love this song.

And I have loved it for a looong time. Waaaay before you even heard it.
I'm just cool like that.

Also....
I can play the Flute.
Just not very well.

Also....
I love SMARTIES.

I mean, I really love them.
As in, I steal them from my child if he has them. As in, I will steal them from your child if the opportunity presents itself.
Truman loves SMARTIES too.
But he loves this kind.
Just thought you should know.

The Great American Road Trip

So it's been a while since I have posted anything. I have been busy but mostly I am just lazy. Still cool adventures have been pursued by the Rowe family in the last month. And I have a lot of pictures so get ready to feast your eyes upon them and turn into a jealous green monster.
White Sands National Park &Three Rivers Petroglyph Site
Chaco Canyon
Blue Skies over New Mexico & Old Town Albuquerque (I bought a bracelet from that woman in the middle picture).
Monument Valley, Utah (just a word of advice, if you ever visit, drive a Hummer.)
Mesa Verde & A New Junior Ranger
Along the way: Dodge City, Kansas; Mountains in Colorado; Camping in a canyon in New Mexico with wild turkeys and coyotes; Lincoln, New Mexico (hang out of Billy the Kid); Lubbock, Texas (home of Buddy Holly); Four Corners; Missiles & Cacti; Aliens!!!!
Easter ( & some heathen spring celebration) with the Isaak cousins in Iowa.
See you're super jealous now aren't you?

Lunch

Are you ever so sick of eating a turkey on wheat, with baby spinach, lite miracle whip and a slice of medium cheddar cheese sandwich, day in and day out, that you just can't face it one more time, so instead you just eat 2 string cheese sticks and a handful of tortilla chips?
Just wondering.

Homemade

One day while looking at blogs of lives of people I don't know nor will ever meet, I came across a really cute DIY project to make snow-globe postcards here. And I knew they would be so cute as homemade valentines. So Truman and I got out the craft supplies (which, by the way, are still cluttering up my table. Sad.)  and went to work. I was not so ambitious/crazy to try and make them for Trum's class, instead we made some for Jack and some other beloveds in our life.
I used old Victorian Images that I found on Google and for the "snow" I used Cupid Confetti.

Here are Jack's Valentines from Trum and I. The one on the Left had to be edited since the man's hand placement was a little sassy. I am not sure what to think of those Victorians, since finding this one. Still what do you think of me since I reused it? Any who, Trum added pipe-cleaners to his for some extra pizazz!

I just loved this lady!

This one is probably my favorite, it was REALLY hard to send it.
Go ahead and make some at your home. They are super fun! Then be sure to mail one to me!

Secret Love

I know that I have often shared with you my love for Truman and of course his father (Jack, in case you had any doubts). But I thought that today, in honour of Valentines Day, I would share with you my secret love....
Don't judge me, but I literally love Pepsi. Some people(Jack) might even call it an addiction, but it really isn't. I don't need to drink it everyday (and I usually don't) I just WANT to drink it everyday. In our house we refer to it as The Sauce, as in, "You need to lay off The Sauce." Oh, but it tastes too good. It isn't really even my fault. It's this guys...
(my dad and I circa 1980?)
He loves it too. Although now he has switched to Diet Pepsi Twist (a twist of lemon?). He starts all of his kids and grand kids off on a road of love/addiction to The Sauce by giving them sips from his bottle when they are babies. It just continues on from there. I used to make Pepsi floats and we would mix Pepsi with orange juice (in Germany this is a drink you can buy called Spitzi, mmmm).
Oh it is so good. Unless it is flat and then it is useless.
So now you know what I asked Jack to get me for Valentine's Day.
