I know, I'm a Weirdo

For some unknown reason I feel compelled to document all of the really large messes I make. Just ask Jack about all of the pictures I have of different things I have spilled and broken. So with this information in mind, this is a picture of the half a bag of flour I spilled on the floor last week. I had Truman get into the picture as a point of reference and he decided to display the recipe (aka concoction) of chocolate chips and banana slices that he had made while I was busy making cookies. Coincidentally this little "recipe" of his soon found itself all over the floor and then in the trash. But Truman did the spilling that time so I did not take a picture.

Yuletide Beginnings

So last week our little joy school performed a nativity play at a retirement home, and it was great. Truman played Joseph and this year he actually wore the costume and played the part (last year he refused to put on a costume and crawled around on the floor). Then all of the kids sang some songs and handed out some Christmas cards they had made. All of the kids were so cute. And I was actually thinking that I had a pretty great kid.
But then the incident occurred...
We went out to our cars and started loading up the kids. While I was putting Truman's car seat in our car, I heard my friend Mary say, "Oh, No Truman." And a great fear entered my heart. Truman had scratched her car with a rock!!! TWICE!! I was no longer thinking that I had a pretty great kid! Yikes!! The roller coaster ride that we call motherhood.

YUM...TURKEY!

So we had a great Thanksgiving! Our friends Carriane and Jason came over to our house for dinner. We have known them since we lived in Arizona and it is fun to get to hang out with them again out here in Maryland. We had a fun, relaxing day and the food was great. The best part was that Carriane and Jason brought the turkey, ham, rolls, and pecan pie, and Jack peeled the taters, so all of the hard stuff was taken care of by them. It made my day a whole lot easier.
I also wanted to mention the fact that Truman has taken to using the word "SWEET". For example, "Sweet, we get to watch cartoons!" or "This toy is sweet!". I am so happy that he at least sounds like an Idaho boy, even if he doesn't live there.
